Cherie is the most engaging and motivating exercise and fitness leader that I've had the pleasure to train with. I first participated in Cherie's in-person classes for a few months before the pandemic. She was very personable and made sure that everyone felt welcome and had a great workout -- whatever their fitness level. I felt that she was coaching me 1:1, even though there were others in the class.

I got to know Cherie better during the pandemic when we all had to exercise from home on Zoom. Cherie's Zoom classes are fantastic. She is incredibly motivating and cares for all her participants. Cherie is incredibly thoughtful about her classes and makes sure that everyone is motivated and has a great workout.

I am also personally grateful to Cherie for encouraging me to reignite my own interest as a group fitness instructor - something that I had left behind after I had children. Now I co-teach some of her classes!

I find doing Cherie's classes online is so much better than going to the gym. Here are just a few reasons:

  • I feel like I have a personal trainer with Cherie because she takes the time to find out about everyone and what they want or need from her classes.

  • I don't have to drive anywhere to take her class.

  • I don't have to dress up like I might to go to the gym. (I usually keep my camera off.)

  • I feel so much freer to adjust exercises, especially balance exercises where I might touch the wall for support. I would not feel comfortable doing that during an in person class.

  • I can take classes even when I am on vacation and have taken classes with my daughter and granddaughter when we were together.

  • And I really love Cherie. She is so much fun and her energy is contagious. She genuinely cares for her students and it shows. She fully explains how to do an exercise, and because she is watching her computer screen, she will gently correct individuals when they are doing an exercise incorrectly. She changes the exercises just enough so that no class ever feels routine or boring. And she plays upbeat background music!

Cherie has great expressions, but my favorite one is, "You showed up. The hardest part of the workout is over." I have had the chance to work out with other live online instructors; they are good, but Cherie is absolutely the best.

Cherie’s enthusiasm and encouragement is amazing. What I find terrific about her classes is that we get cardio & strength, and plenty of options for those of us who have injuries or aches or arthritis.

And it’s not an impersonal video – she’s so tuned in to your students and their abilities. If you only have a small space, it works, and you don’t need special equipment.

My first spin class was with Cherie dating back to 2010 and I’ve been attending them regularly ever since. I had heard about her from a friend. I had been wanting to take a spin class, he recommended hers.

I went, Cherie had me smiling from the moment I entered her class. She helped me train for my first triathlon and helped me reach my fitness goals in a fun and joyful way. Her classes are energetic, she plays great music, the fitness routines are varied, and her classes are fun.

I’ve brought both my daughters and many friends to her classes, and they like them too. Cherie’s classes allow me to attain the fitness level that’s right for me. I owe a big part of my joy of fitness training and living a healthy lifestyle to her and her enthusiasm.

Cherie helped me get ready for the Lavaman triathlon that was slated for March 28, 2021. It was postponed then cancelled all together for 2021. However, I did my own version of the Lavaman triathlon on March 28th and succeeded!

Because of Cherie’s classes, I was able to complete the swim in the bay. I can now state that I am a triathlete!! I am continuing to do Spin and Strength training classes to keep fit, as well as getting stronger.

Last spring, in addition to COVID, I began to see the effects of menopause on my body. I couldn’t understand why I was having a hard time managing my weight. With Cherie’s help I was able to lose 30 lbs in a very healthy and active way. She not only helped me with the exercise portion of weight loss, but also helped me with my food choices and attitude around weight loss. Cherie helped me realize that "food is fuel, not fun" and constantly reminded me that weight loss is a journey. I could not have lost the weight without her support and motivation. I know, which Cherie in my corner, I will continue to maintain my weight in a healthy way.
